We have been in the Used/OP book business for 30+ years & have a LOT of inventory, with more piling up weekly. (Sometimes it seems to us that books breed at night, so there are always more of them over time!) There is NO reserve on these lots. Our lack of storage is your opportunity to buy material at a low price. ANTIQUE 1879 Fine Leather Binding with Raised bands. "La Dame Aux Camelias: Drame En Cinq Actes" by Alexandre Dumas, Fils. HARDCOVER 1879 Ancienne Maison Michel Levy Freres 1st THUS Edition, 1st Printing w/ Date: "1879" on Title Page & no additional printings on copyright page. Exactly as shown in the listing scan(s). Nice Collectible 1st THUS edition, 1st printing hardcover copy. Nice example of a 3/4 leather binding, decorated with gold lettering/decorations, & raised spine bands. IN THE ORIGINAL FRENCH: "During 1844 Dumas met Marie Duplessis, a Young courtesan who supposedly was the inspiration for his novel "The Lady of the Camellias" (La Dame aux Camelias). Of course the heroine's name was changed to Marguerite Gautier. The novel was adapted into a play performed throughout the late 19th Century, and it was titled "Camille" when performed in English. The 1936 classic film based on the novel starring Lionel Barrymore, Robert Taylor and Greta Garbo, who "vanted to be alone." This edition was the one adapted into a play; "A Drame en cinq actes." Alexandre Dumas, fils (1824-1895) was a French author and playwright, best known for the novel, La Dame Aux Camelis (The Lady of the Camellias), published in 1848, which was adapted into Verdi’s opera "La Traviata" (The Fallen Woman), as well as numerous stage and film productions, usually titled "Camille" in English-language versions. Dumas, fils was the son of Alexandre Dumas, pere also a well-known playwright and author of classic novels such as "The Three Musketeers." Internally tight & unmarked, pages slightly toning but not brittle. Binding Exterior; Dark Blue leather with gold letters/decorations on spine. Light expected handing wear/rubbing to spine ends, raised bands, and cover edges, but all lettering/decoration bright. NO REMAINDER MARK; NOT X-LIBRARY. NO DJ AS ISSUED. Payment Terms:: Payment is due when the applicable auction ends. We will issue invoices as soon as possible afterwards. We will combine shipping on multiple items, where possible to save the wining bidder on shipping costs. We use "We Pay" from Invaluable Auctions. A "We Pay" link will be on the invoice, if the Buyer clicks it they can pay with any of the many types of payment accepted at the We Pay site.

We are not set up for credit cards at our location so we can only accept Personal Checks, Money Orders / Cashiers Checks or Paypal, if Buyer wishes to pay us outside of "We Pay." Personal checks must clear before shipment of items will take place.

Sales Tax: Sales Tax of 5.5% will be added to invoices to from winning Maine bidders.
