[ Autographs ] DAVID LIVINGSTONE (1813-73, Scottish medical missionary and explorer of the Victorian era, now best remembered because of his meeting with Henry Morton Stanley which gave rise to the popular quotation, "Dr. Livingstone, I presume?"), signature on 1865 hand-written letter to the War Office, in which he states "I have to start for Africa on Monday next"; together with a colour photograph of the David Livingstone memorial statue at Victoria Falls Letter with repaired tear though extremely rare. ÿ
