It is of immense strength, and has stood 1700 years. It has been completely and most ably restored by the Spanish engineer, Don. A. Millan, who has had the good sense and judgement so closely to follow up the design and workmanship of the original architect, that the new lateral and restored central arches can hardly be distinguished from the old works”. Printed on the image is number 87, which corresponds to the catalogue number in A Photographic Scramble through Spain.
