Amusante lettre sur les nouvelles du temps.
« Comment pouvés vous me souhaiter vous qui allez avoir tout ce quil y a de plus exquis à la cour et de plus rafiné dans le cabinet, pour moy je ny entends point de finesse et je vay ce soir souper tranquilement avec le compte [le comte de Matignon ?] dans une tres bonne maison, cependant je seray charmé davoir le plaisir de vous voir car aussi ne vous faut il pas toujours des gens si merveilleux. Madame de Carignan a rendu une pierre. Mr de St Simon soutient que cest un lingot [le prince et la princesse de Carignan s'étaient fort enrichis dans le système de Law]. Vous scavés que la pension de Mr du Maine [le duc du Maine est mort le 14 mai] a été conservée scavoir 65 mille livres à Madame du Maine et 35 mille à Mademoiselle. Qui auroit dit que Mr du Maine seroit mort de la v. Il est mort come les gens qui se sont bien divertis et s'est ennuyé toute sa vie. Il me paroit que vous prenés du gout pour les amusemens champestres. Je croy que vous ne devés ce gout qu'à un autre plus fort et qui doit piquer davantage »...
On joint une L.A. du comte de Bulkeley au Président de Montesquieu à Paris, [Orléans 27 mai [1736] (2 pages in-4, adresse avec cachet cire rouge aux armes brisé), spirituelle réponse à la lettre de Montesquieu [CM 442]. « On vous prefere icy, mon cher president à toute la cour, et la ville ; mais je suis accoutumé aux passions malheureuses, et je vois qu'il faut remplir ma destinée »... Il évoque les maeurs du duc du Maine, le « diamant » de la princesse de Carignan... « Est il vray que l'on va livrer la compagnie des Indes aux fermiers generaux ; il me semble que cela ne seroit pas du goust des actionaires »...

Payment: By exemption, clause 14 from law from the 10th of July 2000 stipulates: «Should the buyer fail to pay the amount due, and after notice to pay has been given by S.V.V. LE BRECH & ASSOCIES to the buyer without success, the lot is re-offered for sale at the seller's request, under the French procedure known as "procédure de folle enchère"(crazy bid). If the seller does not make this request within two months from the date of the sale, the sale will be automatically cancelled, without prejudice to any damages owed by the defaulting buyer».

If the buyer fails to pay the hammer price and fees, a formal notice will be sent to him buyer by certified mail with acknowledgement of receipt. Unless payment is received within 10 days following the reception of this formal notice, additional fees of 10% on the hammer price, with a minimum of €250, will be applied in order to cover the recovery expenses. Enforcement of this stipulation does not prevent from granting financial damages and at the expense of the procedure that it would require, and does not prejudge a potential crazy bid may be carried out.
