Wild River Bridge, Bethel, Maine Signed "Beckett 1852", l.l.; also inscribed "Painted by Uncle Charles E. Beckett, brother of Jane Seymour Becket [sic] Morse", verso Oil on canvas 13" x 18" According to the owner's notes, a woodcut from this oil is included in the 1852 Railroad Booklet by Samuel Beckett that documented railroad bridges of the period in Maine. A copy of the booklet is in the collection of the Maine Historical Society, Portland.
