Description

Group of chromolithographs from his 'Shooting Pictures' series by Arthur Burdett Frost, American (1851-1928.) Frost, considered one of the premier artists of the 'Golden Age of American Illustrations' was both an illustrator and a sporting artist with works published in Harper's Weekly, Scribners and Life Magazine. These 6 pieces, entitled "Autumn Woodcock" "Quail Shooting" "Bay Snipe" "Shooting Ducks from a Blind" "Prairie Chickens" and "Rail Shooting" are all signed at either the lower right or left and retain their original informational backings. Framed under glass, measure: 20.5" H x 27.5" W; images: 12" H x 19.75" W.
