Clarence Hailey of Newmarket was best known as the preeminent racehorse photographer of his day, In 1910, he published Stallions Illustrated, with a preface by The Earl of Coventry.
The Boss had a fruitful four year career, notable successes include The Gosforth Park Cup and in his career victories totalled £1,584.
