Description: Pre-Columbian, western Mexico, Colima, ca 200 BCE/CE. Four note pottery fute in the form of a standing bird. Wings spread and tail acting as mouthpiece, suspension loop on hind legs (yes, a very rare bird with 4 legs and a set of wings. Must be extinct…). Size: 3-1/2" L.
