Le testament artistique de l'affichiste Paul Colin.

43 illustrations de Paul Colin dessinées par l'artiste directement sur pierre lithographique à l'imprimerie Henri Chachoin à Paris, puis coloriées au pochoir, et 2 calligrammes. Préface de Rip et facsimilé d'une lettre de Joséphine Baker.

Un des 500 exemplaires sur vélin teinté des Papeteries Aussedat (n° 130).

Publié en 1927, "ce portfolio est un hommage rendu par Colin aux artistes noirs qui, après la vague déferlante de la Revue nègre de New York menée par Joséphine Baker, en 1925, devinrent la tête de pont de la culture noire à Paris pendant la seconde moitié des années 1920".

Ces planches figurent Joséphine Baker avec pour tout vêtement une ceinture de bananes, des artistes noirs depuis le danseur de charleston aux musiciens seuls ou en orchestre, leurs admirateurs et émules.
