Description
Still life with grapes, peaches and plums in a landscape signed, dated and inscribed 'C.J. van Hulstijn f/Triest 1861' (lower right) oil on canvas 60.5 x 49 cm. NOTES In 1848 Cornelis Johannes van Hulstijn moved to Italy where he lived with his sister in the Northen city of Trieste. In 1857 the artist presented himself for the first time to the Italian public at a local exhibition.
