Description

Original vintage engraving Court of Memory Sud Pamjati by Dmitrij Bisti (1925-1990), a Soviet graphic artist, People's Artist of the RSFSR. A significant part of Bisti's work is devoted to book design, working with fonts, designing layouts, title pages, bindings and dust jackets. His favorite technique is woodcut. He also worked in the technique of etching and color woodcuts. He illustrated many works of ancient and medieval literature, Russian and foreign classics, children's books. Features a helmeted figure with hands raised up, an illustration for a poem Court of Memory by Egor Isaev (1926–2013) - a Russian poet, translator and publicist.
