Various works of the artist are exhibited in the National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo and Kyoto.
NOTE
The folk-art ceramist was a lifelong friend of Hamada Shoji and was responsible for the Mingei movement which appealed to the spiritual and practical needs of life. He won a Grand prix in the Paris Exhibition of 1937. He never signed his work and refused the honour of being designated a `Living National Treasure'.
