Au sujet du Jardin botanique de Bordeaux, fondé et dirigé par le médecin Barthélemy-Thomas Grégoire.
Il répond à Montesquieu à propos de Grégoire et des « injustes vexations qu'il éprouve depuis quelque tems de la part de quelques uns de Mrs les Aggregez, au College de Medecine de Bourdeaux, sous prætexte que le jardin destiné à la culture et à la demonstration des Plantes, et fondé par Mrs les jurats est mal entretenu, et qu'il ne s'acquite pas avec exactitude des fonctions de Directeur de ce jardin et de la demonstration des plantes qui luy ont esté confiées ». Il a déjà reçu plusieurs plaintes à ce sujet, mais « dictées par un esprit de party, je vous avoueray ingenument que je n'ay jamais creu devoir entrer dans la discussion de ces plaintes, attendu que la fondation du jardin et l'établissement du Demonstrateur ayant esté faits par Mrs les jurats il n'apartenoit qu'à eux d'examiner si elles etoient legitimes ». Il a fini par faire demander aux jurats de « dresser un procez verbal de l'état du jardin », et il a parlé de l'affaire à M. de Ségur, sous-maire de Bordeaux... « j'ay tousjours esté fort eloigné d'autoriser les mauvaises démarches de certains particuliers de l'Aggregation de Bourdeaux contre Mr Grégoire, dont les bonnes qualitez et le merite dans la Profession m'étoient déjà connus »... Il remercie Montesquieu de ses compliments « sur tout ce qui peut concerner la place dont Sa Majesté a eu la bonté de m'honorer »...

Contract: Purchased lots will become available only after payment in-full has been made. The sale will be conducted in Euros.

Payment: By exemption, clause 14 from law from the 10th of July 2000 stipulates: «Should the buyer fail to pay the amount due, and after notice to pay has been given by S.V.V. LE BRECH & ASSOCIES to the buyer without success, the lot is re-offered for sale at the seller's request, under the French procedure known as "procédure de folle enchère"(crazy bid). If the seller does not make this request within two months from the date of the sale, the sale will be automatically cancelled, without prejudice to any damages owed by the defaulting buyer».

If the buyer fails to pay the hammer price and fees, a formal notice will be sent to him buyer by certified mail with acknowledgement of receipt. Unless payment is received within 10 days following the reception of this formal notice, additional fees of 10% on the hammer price, with a minimum of €250, will be applied in order to cover the recovery expenses. Enforcement of this stipulation does not prevent from granting financial damages and at the expense of the procedure that it would require, and does not prejudge a potential crazy bid may be carried out.
