Citizen Gardani's childhood was spent in his hometown. Before he graduated from High School, his gypsy spirit and love for adventure took him every summer to travelto neighborhood countries.He studied at different Universities, Architecture and Publicity. Always having been drawn to the world of Arts and being independent. Gardani started working and experimenting with different materials and techniques, on his Paintings and Sculptures.Entirely self-taught, he had his first solo exhibition in his native, Quito, (1987).It's when he realized, that is what he wants to do for the rest of his life.He knows to fulfill that dream he had to leave his problematic political country.He traveled to Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico, until finally he ended upin the U.S. in 1989. He lived in California, Chicago, New York and Miami and still livingbetween the last two cities. He had continued traveling to Brazil, England, Italy, France,China, Honduras, Puerto RicoÃ¢â‚¬Â¦ in order to visit the major Art Museums. He believesthat is the best school to learn the higher expressions of Art. Gardani, still remains true to his initial spirit of enjoying Art in the Magic Realism form,which he has been practicing for more than twenty years. Even though some of hispaintings come from his mind; he prefers to work with models. Gardani has the ability to present works of allegory, still-life, fruit, horses, pets,contemporary abstracts and his well known figurative paintings. The artwork of this Artist has been shown in Galleries in the United States Central and South America.His artworks are in Prestigious Collections around the world. He has been commissioned by many private collectors.As a Latino Artist of Spanish Heritage, he reflects in his Paintings the techniques from the old masters and the magic of all the places he has lived with the wide variety ofcultures he's experienced.
