Description

Born in Tipperary, based in Cork City. Kearney graduated from the Crawford College of Art & Design in 2005. His work reflects his interest in architecture, perspective and natural lighting and explores how these change our emotional connection to our city. His work has been exhibited throughout Ireland, including a solo show at the Linenhall Arts Centre in Co.Mayo and group shows in the Wandesford Quay Gallery in Cork and the Source Arts Centre in Co. Tipperary.

Gary has a studio in the Sabhrann Studios in Cork where he has been a member since 2019, he was previously a member of Backwater Artists Group from 2010 to 2019. His work is represented in public collections such as the Crawford Municipal Art Gallery, Cork City Libraries and the Office of Public Works. In 2018 his work was featured in the 188th RHA Annual Exhibition and was selected again in 2021 and 2022. In 2019, he had work selected for both the RUA Annual Exhibition in Belfast and the RWA Annual Exhibition in Bristol. In 2020, he had work selected for the Bath Society of Artists 115th Annual Open Exhibition in Bath and was Longlisted for the Jacksons Painting Prize in 2022. He is currently showing work at the Chimera Gallery, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath.

AUCTION DETAILS
Auction eve is Tuesday the 28th of March 2023 at 7.30pm sharp, with the live event taking place in The Tony Ryan Gallery of the RHA, Ely Place, Dublin 2.

Online bidders must register with Invaluable beforehand. Register at www.invaluable.com (search SCOOP Foundation in search bar). 

All lots must be paid in full prior to taking away or arranging delivery.

All online buyers are subject to a 20% buyers premium, and this is broken down into 15% which helps SCOOP cover event costs, as well as the charge for using the online bidding portal (5%). This is 15% at the live event.

The auctioneer and event managers are authorised to execute bids on behalf of absentee bidders.

All disputes will be settled at the Auctioneer's discretion.

All payments must be made by bank transfer only or cash at the event is accepted too. Online bidders must pay their invoice as soon as possible as well as pay for the delivery or shipping of their won artworks.
