CONDITIONS OF SALE AT PUBLIC AUCTIONS
Expertisez SAS, a simplified joint-stock company with a capital of 12,000 euros, established in 2002, operates as a voluntary public auction operator (O.V.V.) under the law of July 20, 2011. It is registered with the Conseil des Ventes Volontaires de meubles aux enchères publiques under number 068-2015. The company's headquarters are located at 75 boulevard Haussmann, Paris 8th.
Auctions organized by Expertisez SAS are conducted online. The highest and final bidder will be considered the winning bidder.
The auction is conducted in euros, even if it is relayed on foreign websites with different currencies.
The artworks are displayed on the website Encherissez.com, Drouot.com and Invaluable.com, where the dates and times of the auctions are indicated.
The designated viewing days prior to the sale will also be indicated, and visits can be arranged by appointment only.
Buyers are encouraged to examine the lots of interest before placing bids and take note of their condition. Dimensions provided are approximate.
Any disputes regarding remarks, additions, or modifications made before the lot presentation cannot be considered.
Lots marked with an * are sold by a member of the auction company, the company itself, or one of its experts, in accordance with Article L 321-5 II of the Commercial Code.
As per Article L. 321-17 of the French Commercial Code, the OVV's liability is limited to five years from the date of the auction or public sale.
Jewelry: Precious and fine stones may have undergone treatments to enhance their value, such as oiling of emeralds, heat treatment of rubies and sapphires, whitening of pearls, etc. These treatments are common and accepted in the international jewelry market. Due to the increasing number of new treatments, stones presented without certificates are sold without any guarantee of treatment. It should be noted that the origin of the stones and the quality (color and clarity of diamonds) reflect the opinion of the certifying laboratory. No claims will be accepted if another laboratory provides a different opinion, and neither the sales company nor the expert will be held responsible.
Watches: Restoration, modifications, technical specifications, serial numbers, dimensions, and weight are provided to the best of our knowledge. They are given as a guide to facilitate the inspection of potential buyers and remain subject to their personal evaluation. Despite the precautions taken, the auctioneer and the expert cannot be held accountable for any omissions. The absence of information does not imply that a watch is free of defects. No guarantee is provided regarding the condition of the watches and bracelets. Servicing, adjustments, and water-resistance remain the responsibility of the buyer. No claims will be accepted once the auction has been announced.
Subject to providing sufficient financial guarantees prior to the sale, live bidding is possible on specialized auction platforms such as Encherissez.com, Drouot.com, Invaluable.com
For live auctions, telephone bidding is available with a firm purchase order corresponding to the low estimate. Telephone bids are accepted starting from 200 euros, with a purchase order placed through Encherissez.com, drouot.com, invaluable.com, epailive.com
The estimates provided are for guidance purposes only and do not guarantee the final auction result.
Upon full and successful payment of the price, commissions, and related expenses to Expertisez SAS, the buyer will receive an invoice and become the owner of the auctioned item. Once the auction is concluded, the awarded objects are the sole responsibility of the buyer. It is the buyer's responsibility to arrange insurance for the lots at their own expense after the sale.
Payment and sale costs:
In addition to the sale price, the buyer is required to pay a fixed fee of 28%, including VAT.
An additional commission of 1.80% is charged for bids placed through internet platforms, drouot or invaluable.
Payment must be made immediately after the sale.
Accepted methods of payment are as follows:

Please note that we do not have access to your bank details provided during registration on the auction platforms. Therefore, all payments must be made in cash after the sale, following the terms and conditions proposed by the auction house.
Default of payment:
In accordance with Article 14 of Law No. 2000-642 of July 10, 2000, if the successful bidder fails to make the payment after unsuccessful formal notice, the item will be re-auctioned at the request of the seller based on the irresponsible bid of the unsuccessful bidder.
Legislative and jurisdictional competence:
In accordance with the law, it is stated that all actions for civil liability arising from auctions and voluntary and judicial sales of furniture by public auction are subject to a five-year limitation period from the date of the auction. These general purchasing conditions are governed solely by French law. Any disputes regarding their existence, validity, enforceability to bidders and buyers, and their execution will be settled by the competent court of Paris, France.

Bulky items will be stored at the TSE furniture repository, 36-56 rue Louis David, 93170 Bagnolet. Lots not removed one month after the sale will be stored at the buyer's expense and risk.In all cases, a minimum fee of 5 euros per day will be charged.
Small paintings, sculptures and objects of art will be delivered in Paris 8ème only by appointment. Lots not collected one month after the sale will be transported and stored at the expense and risk of the buyer at the TSE furniture storage facility.
