George Gibbs, American, 1870-1942. "The Bell Telephone Give Instant Alarms". Unsigned. Excellent subject matter with horse drawn fire engine. 21" x 32" s.s., framed to 28" x 38 1/2". Gibbs was a well-known illustrator, and worked mainly in Philadelphia. In 1942, one his his murals was in Girard College and another in the 30th Street Penn Station.
