Macedon, Kingdom of Philip II, (359-336 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.02 g), Amphipolis III mint, issued c. 323/2-316/5 B.C., obv. head of Zeus laureate to right, dotted border, rev. naked youth or small man (Philip II), on horseback to right, aplustre below, and P. below right, above FILIP POU, (cf.S.6683, Le Rider Pl.46, 18, [Pl.46, p.124], SNG ANS 740 [similar dies], SNG Cop.559, M.155). Lightly toned, unusual lapping markings on edge, otherwise nearly extremely fine and very scarce.
