Syria, Kingdom of, Antiochos II, (261-246 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.72 g), Series II Group C, Seleucia on Tigris mint, issued 261-256 B.C., obv. diademed head of Antiochos I to right, dotted border, rev. Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow and bow, on right BASILEWS, to left ANTIOCOU, to left and right monograms, (cf.S.6886, SC 587.1a, HGC 236g, Newell ESM 178, SNG Spaer 382-3, Hunter 21). High relief, gouge on reverse, attractive broad flan, good very fine and very scarce.
