Description: Pre-Columbian, Northern Peru, Chimu-Inca, ca. 1000 to 1400 CE. A trio of finely crafted wood and textile combs, one comprised of a rounded reed covered by woven raffia and camelid fibers holding teeth, the other two with rows of teeth woven together via attractive textile weavings, one with an arrow-like motif in brown and tan camelid fibers on golden ground, the other with a red and green abstract trapezoidal motif on a chocolate brown ground framed by natural camelid fibers. Lovely examples. Size: largest measures 4.5" L (11.4 cm)
