Description

Herend Cornucopia Porcelain Dinner Service Circa 1984
Comprising eighteen dinner plates, eighteen bread plates, thirty-six salad/dessert plates, fifteen teacups and eighteen saucers, eighteen covered pot de creme and saucers, coffee pot, covered sugar bowl, sugar bowl, two creamers, two triangular plates, four shallow serving bowls, cake plate, shell-form bowl, pair of two-light candelabra, platter and a tureen on stand. Length of tureen 11 1/2 inches (29.2 cm).

Condition Report

Each appears to be in generally good, clean condition, except for the following noteworthy issues:

One of the pot de creme pots does not have a cover; there are some short, light scratch marks to the centers of the plates, consistent with light usage, not of any consequence; no apparent rim chips; nicks, hairline cracks, discoloration spots, etc., no chips to the rim edge of the pouring spout of the coffee pot; lid finial appears to be in good condition; all rose bud finials and stems appear to be in good condition; both candelabra appear to be in good condition; the turquoise colored handles on each of the coffee cups and the two handles on the tureen have white stripe "discoloration" or rather less application of the turquoise glaze (an aesthetic, not a condition issue)

CONDITIONS OF SALE

Auction House will help arrange shipment, at buyer's expense.
We use the UPS store for larger items, we do not know shipping prices for these items. For easy to ship items we ship priority thru the post office and add a $5 packing fee.

PAYMENT

BUYER'S PREMIUM

Doyle New York charges a premium to the buyer on the final bid price of each lot sold at the following rates: 25% on the first $100,000 of the hammer price, 20% on the portion from $100,001 through $2,000,000, and 12% on that portion of the hammer price exceeding $2,000,000.
