Description: 1 March 1808 AMSTERDAM. Aandeel. black, red stamps. No 643. Large format 4-page document with large central tear between pages 2 and 3. Also brown staining. Founded 1807 and this share remained valid until 1968 when the company merged with Delta and thus became part of Delta Lloyd. According to the company's website, this was the very first life insurer on the European Continent and the world's first insurer to use scientific methods (life annuity tables) to compose its insurance products. Various transfer notes on the back until 1937. An important share, and extremely rare.
