**Dimensions and Craftsmanship:**
This impressive piece boasts a substantial size, measuring 18.5 inches in height, 45 inches in width, and 49.5 inches in depth. Meticulously handcrafted using traditional methods, the drum coffee table is fashioned from a hollowed-out cottonwood stump. Both sides are covered with durable buffalo rawhide, creating a robust and authentic surface that exudes cultural heritage.

**The Legacy of Ray Gallegos:**
Ray Gallegos, a master drum maker, brings a rich heritage and unparalleled skill to each piece he creates. His journey in drum making is deeply rooted in his family's history. Ray's great-grandfather was a farmer and "heishi" maker, while his grandfather, Luciano Gallegos, was a well-educated man who served as a principal and superintendent and also operated a vital mercantile and trading post for the Cochiti community.

Luciano’s son, Eloy, Ray’s father, inherited the family store and home. As times changed and the local economy shifted, Eloy adapted by learning the art of drum making from an old craftsman named Diego, who paid him five cents for his assistance. Eloy then passed this cherished skill on to Ray at a young age.

**The Craft of Drum Making:**
Cochiti Pueblo is renowned for its drum-making tradition, and Ray Gallegos is a leading figure in this art. Recognizing the demand for these culturally rich items, Ray decided to produce and sell drums wholesale to trading posts, operating under the brand name "Cochiti Rays Drums." Known for his handcrafted, free-form (odd-shaped) coffee table drums, Ray’s creations come in various shapes and sizes, each piece unique and infused with his family's legacy.

**A Piece of Cultural Heritage:**
Today, Ray’s drums are cherished across the United States, embodying the spirit and tradition of the Cochiti Pueblo. He aspires to pass this invaluable craft to his sons and daughters, ensuring that the art of drum making continues into the third generation.

**Own a Piece of History:**
This Ray Gallegos Native American Cottonwood Drum Coffee Table is not just furniture; it’s a piece of cultural history and craftsmanship, perfect for those who appreciate authentic Native American art. Enhance your home with this unique and significant coffee table, a testament to the enduring legacy of the Gallegos family and the rich traditions of the Cochiti Pueblo.

By registering to participate in Ace of Estates' online sale and/or by placing a bid in such sale, you ("Buyer") explicitly agree to all terms and conditions, which may be updated periodically. This includes the limitations of liability for both Ace of Estates and the Seller. Your continued use or access to this website signifies your acceptance of these changes.

**Condition Statements**
Any condition statement provided is a courtesy to potential bidders or buyers and represents only an opinion; it should not be considered a statement of fact. Ace of Estates assumes no responsibility for any errors or omissions. The absence of a condition statement does not imply that a lot is in perfect condition or free from wear, imperfections, or the effects of aging. Any descriptions provided by Ace of Estates regarding a lot--whether in a condition report, catalog, or on the website--are intended solely as opinions and should not be relied upon as factual representations or warranties. Dimensions and weights of lots are approximate, and our descriptions may not capture all faults or restorations.

Ace of Estates has no obligation to examine, investigate, or conduct tests on each lot to verify the accuracy of any descriptions or opinions provided, whether in the catalog or elsewhere. Bidders and Buyers should not assume that such examinations or investigations have taken place. Each lot is sold "AS IS-WHERE IS," with all faults and defects, and all sales are final. By participating, the Buyer waives any claims against Ace of Estates related to the lot.

**Condition of Lots**
Lots are often second-hand and may be in varying conditions, offered solely for display or appreciation as objects. They are sold to the Buyer on an "as is" basis, with all imperfections. Illustrations and photographs serve only for identification purposes and may not accurately reflect the color or true condition of the lot. It is the Buyer's responsibility to satisfy themselves regarding every aspect of a lot, including authorship, attribution, condition, provenance, history, authenticity, style, period, age, suitability, quality, roadworthiness (if applicable), origin, value, and estimated selling price (including the hammer price).

**Auction Terms**
By bidding at an Ace of Estates auction, you agree to be bound by the following terms:

1. **As Is:** All lots are sold as is, without recourse, and neither Ace of Estates nor the consignor makes any warranties or representations, express or implied, regarding the lots.

2. **Bidding at Auction:** The highest bidder recognized by the auctioneer will be deemed the Buyer. The successful bidder is personally responsible for paying the hammer price, plus a Buyer's Premium of twenty percent (20%) of the gross hammer price, along with any applicable sales tax. Title to the purchased property shall not pass to the Buyer until all wire transfers, credit card transactions, and checks have cleared Ace of Estates' banking facilities.
