Description

Javier Mulio, "Quiet Roses", a fine art photorealism piece oil on canvas. May also be considered hyper-realism. The attention to detail and appearance is amazing. Comes with 3-page Certificate of Appraisal from Richard Beau Lieu, dated May 15, 2018, with a replacement value of $9,500. This large oversized artwork will need to be shipped by a Third Party Carrier, and we will assist with that. Please call for additional information before placing a bid. Javier Mulió, known simply as Javier to collectors around the world, was born on December 24, 1957 in the artistically inspired village of Alcoy Spain. Upon the age of 14, Javier developed a drive for painting and by 18 he began his formal training. From 1973–1976, Javier studied at the School of Mila Gómez, studying under the artist and teacher Gómez personally. There he received a Fourth Degree Certificate for his talent and creations. After completing his studies, Javier began his professional career as a painter. Throughout the years, he has enjoyed success having his work featured in multiple exhibitions. In 1997 his work was introduced to the United States and he has since celebrated exhibitions in San Francisco, New York, Washington D.C, St. Augustine and Atlanta. His work can be found in private collections in Japan, Saudi Arabia, Jakarta, Bahrain, Holland and the United States. Collectors include a Saudi Arabian Prince along with many aristocrats and successful business people throughout the world. Art History professor Vincente Martí Vaño states, “In the course of his journey as an artist, Mulió has developed stylistically in the direction of hyper-realism, which gives him a language to disclose the tactile and chromatic textures of matter and enables him to attain astonishing effects of translucence in his depiction of water in a glass or drops of water on a rose’s velvety surface”.

Disclaimer: All property is sold as is, where is and neither the auctioneer nor any consignor makes any warranties or representations of any kind or nature with respect to the property, and in no event shall they be responsible for the correctness, nor deemed to have made any representation or warranty, of description, genuineness, authorship, attribution, provenance, period, culture, source, origin, or condition of the property and no statement made at the sale, or in the bill of sale, or invoice or elsewhere shall be deemed such a warranty of representation or an assumption of liability. It is the buyers responsibility to know what they are bidding on. Buyer is to assume that any items with mechanical movements (such as watches and clocks) have not been serviced unless otherwise noted in description.

Bidding increments will be adjusted prior to start of auction. However, the auctioneer reserves the right not to follow it exactly as shown. Actual starting bids may be higher than shown on the internet due to Invaluable changing the starting bids to adjust to pre-determined bid increments.

In sporadic instances, the Internet cannot keep up with the pace of our in-house auction. Placing a realistic absentee bid prior to the start of the auction will ensure that you bid on those items you most desire. IT IS AT THE AUCTIONEER'S DISCRETION TO ACCEPT OR REJECT AN INTERNET BID. In addition, the auctioneer may reopen a lot after the close of an Internet bid and may reject your bid even if you are designated as the winning bidder. This is very rare but because of the pace of bidding, it is sometimes unavoidable. By bidding via the Internet, you agree that the lot may be awarded to another bidder at the sole discretion of Coastal Edge Auction Emporium, LLC under these circumstances or any other reasonable circumstances. Internet bids are not available to us until the lot is opened on the floor. Frequently, the floor responds before an Internet bid is accepted. Please understand that floor bids are always considered first over identical Internet bids.

Your bid is a contract. Once you become the winning bidder you must make payment arrangements for your purchase. Failure to make such arrangements within 10 days of the Auction will cause you to become liable for legal action by CEAE, LLC and you will lose your rights to the lots you bid on. Purchaser pays buyer's premium plus shipping charges in addition to total purchase price.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to the volatile nature of the precious metals market, coins considered 'market sensitive' will be repriced the business day before the auction.

Numismatics and currency: Grading of raw rare coins and paper money is subjective. We grade coins using current grading standards. We do not guarantee coins will be graded the same by some of the grading services. We will NOT accept returns of raw coins and paper money for this reason. We guarantee all coins to be genuine, except as otherwise expressly stated in the Description section of an individual lot. Coastal Edge Auction Emporium, LLC makes no warranties or guarantees or representations as to any numismatic properties. CEAE, LLC does not represent that a numismatic item has or has not been cleaned, that toning is natural or artificial, that any coin catalogued will meet the standards, or the grade, of any third party or third party grading service.

RETURN POLICY: All items are sold "as-is". If our description of an item is materially mis-described, we will accept return of the item. However, we MUST HAVE NOTIFICATION OF RETURN WITHIN FIVE BUSINESS DAYS FROM RECEIPT OF ITEM BY BIDDER, as shown by FEDEX or USPS tracking data, and the item must be received by us within ten days. Otherwise, all items purchased at auction are final sale and no returns will be accepted under any other circumstances. Return shipping is at the bidders expense.
