(Cond: some soiling and foxing to lower margin, otherwise good, colors vibrant)Cf. The offered Art Nouveau inspired satirical work, one of many produced [1904-1909] by Gris, early in his career, shortly after his arrival in Paris, for publication in magazines and journals, such as the “Anarchist”, “L’Assiette au Berrre”, “Le Rire” and “Le Charivari”. In 1910 Gris, known prior to 1905 as, José Victoriano González, gave up working as a satirical cartoonist and illustrator, to embark upon a more dignified career as a ‘serious artist’.
