Shipping Terms

We offer shipping solutions for international shipping:

If the invoice is under 500,- Euro the shipping and wrapping costs are 60,- Euro plus VAT (International shipping, outside EU).
If you need an insurance between 500,- and 2.500,- the costs are 90,- Euro plus VAT (International shipping, outside EU).
If you need an insurance between 2.501,- and 25.000,- the costs are 110,- Euro plus VAT (International shipping, outside EU).
For total amounts over 1.000,- you need to add 35,- EUR plus VAT for the clearance papers.

If the invoice is under 500,- Euro the shipping and wrapping costs are 45,- Euro plus VAT (Inside EU).
If you need an insurance between 500,- and 2.500,- the costs are 75,- Euro plus VAT (Inside EU).
If you need an insurance between 2.501,- and 25.000,- the costs are 95,- Euro plus VAT (Inside EU).

VAT in Germany currently is 19%.

Tax / VAT terms

VAT is applied on the commission of 22%. It is a premium for our service as auctioneers. VAT is not applied on the actual item that you buy. The item is going to be exported, the service takes place here in Hannover, Germany and is not an export. To apply VAT on services here in Germany is the law.

Please pay attention to the following abstract of our sale conditions about the current VAT (value-added tax) terms:

1.1 A surcharge of 26,18 % is added to the hammer price (this is 22 % buyer's premium plus the VAT of currently 19 % on the buyer's premium).

1.2. The following clients can be released from the VAT:
       1. Businessmen of the EU holding a valid VAT-ID-number, if the purchased item(s) will be exported for their company.
       2. Businessmen of third countries (outside the EU), who verifiably deal with art and antiques.
       3. Private persons cannot be released from regular taxation (§ 3a Abs. 1 UStG and= Art. 45 MwStSystRL).

From businessmen of the EU we need in advance: valid VAT-ID-number, company name (including the form of organisation) and the company's full address.

From businessmen of third countries we need in advance: company name (including the form of organisation), the company's full address and additional information like a website i.e. to proof the company's existence.
