Kenneth Mahood (b.1930) BLACK MOORING POST signed lower left; inscribed and dated [1957] on reverse; also with original label on reverse oil on board 76 by 25cm., 30 by 10in. Provenance: Queen's University, Belfast, Common Room Collection, catalogue no. 38 Belfast born artist Kenneth Mahood exhibited during the 1950s at the RUA, the IELA, the Oireachtas, and with Waddington's Gallery in Dublin. Since then he has worked primarily as an illustrator for such journals as Punch, Lilliput and The New Yorker .
