The seller will afford every opportunity to view all lots prior to sale. However the purchaser must understand that he/she is buying property entirely upon his own or his agent's examination and opinion. All lots are sold "AS IS, WHERE IS."
Any guarantees written or implied to the authenticity, originality, or condition of any lot are not the guarantee of the Huntington Museum of Art, and should be determined by the purchaser's own inspection and discretion.
You must pay the stated sum in accordance with the following schedule: ALL BIDS ARE FINAL AT AUCTION. There is no "Cooling Off Period." If you are awarded the final bid, ownership changes hands at the drop of the gavel. You own the merchandise and are responsible for payment in full.
Sales tax will be applied to all purchases (unless a re-sale certificate is supplied or item is being shipped out of state) and a 15% buyer's premium will be applied to all purchases made online.
COVID-19 UPDATE: Pickup is by appointment ONLY, please call the Museum to arrange your time to pick up. All items that need to be shipped are the responsibility of the purchaser, though the museum will deliver items to our recommended local shipper for purchasers.
