More About this Item

Description: 1912 1 Actie von £20. brown, black. No 3416. Text in Russian, English, French and German. Printed 1912, we believe this to be a re-issue of the original shares (issued around 1880?) with a new coupon sheet. One repaired tear. This was the southern portion of the very important Moscow-Kiev line, and was opened in 1870. The nominal value of the shares is in £ sterling, perhaps indicating British capital. Text in Russsian, French, English, German. The company changed its name in 1893 to the Kiev-Voronezh Railway Co, and in 1895 to the Moscow-Kiev-Voronezh Railway Co.
