Description: Artist: JULES-ALEXANDRE GRÜN (1868-1938) Size: 34 1/4 x 49 1/4 in./87 x 125 cm Imp. Chaix, Paris Grün created at least three different images for La Boite à Fursy, a cabaret located in the old Chat Noir hotel after the original owner, Rodolphe Salis, died while taking the company on tour. The new proprietor, Henri Fursy, renamed the venue after himself, claiming that this would be the new cabaret in which to hear the greatest chansonniers in Montmartre.
