Louisiana Bayou Country by American artist Colette Pope Heldner (18 May 1902 - 3 May 1990) Amazing and large oil on canvas signed bottom left and on back, en verso reads, "Swamp Idyl Louisiana Bayou Country" 


Collette Pope Heldner, born Dorothy Colette Pope was an American painter. She married Knute Heldner, who was her instructor at a school in Minnesota. The two lived and painted in New Orleans from 1923 onward spending sometime in Paris
