More About this Item

Description: Artist: PAUL COLIN (1892-1986) Size: 11 7/8 x 11 7/8 in./30 x 30 cm While Colin created posters for a host of musicians and performers throughout his career, there is little evidence indicating that he ever dabbled in album cover art. Here, however, he created a mock-up for a potential French release of an early Beatles record. The design references the minimalist background figures that appear in his Le Tumulte Noir, while also bringing in elements of Picasso and Braque. (rock)
