[LINCOLN, Abraham]. Presidential custard cup and cover from the White House State Dinner Service ordered by Mary Lincoln in early 1865. France, imported by Joseph and James K. Kerr's China Hall (Philadelphia, 1865).

FROM THE "BUFF AND GOLD" SECOND LINCOLN STATE DINNER SERVICE

White porcelain with enamel and gilt decoration applied by hand, with wide band of buff. 3 3/8 inches in height. In fine condition. A simply decorated custard cop and cover from the Lincoln's second, less ornate "State Dinner, Dessert and Coffee Service," ordered by Mary Lincoln from a Philadelphia importer and delivered just three months before the assassination of President Lincoln.
