Conditions of Sale
ESTIMATES / AUCTION BASES
Next to each description of the lots in the catalog, an auction base is given, which does not include sales commissions. The auction and auctioned in Euros €. In addition, in some cases, estimates may be given that correspond to the probable market value of the lot. Both estimates and auction bases given in the catalog are approximate and may be subject to revision.
RESERVE
The reserve price is the confidential minimum price below which the lot will not be sold. It may be higher than the auction base listed in the catalog. Meeting Art reserves the right to bid in the seller's interest until the reserve is reached. Lots without reserve are marked "WITHOUT RESERVE" in the catalog.
BUYERS COMMISSION
In addition to the final adjudication price, the buyer must pay a 30% premium (Auction fees).
VAT REGIME (MARGIN REGIME)
Sales made by Meeting Art by virtue of commission relationships entered into with private consumers or with VAT entities, which operate under the Margin regime, are subject to the Margin regime, enshrined in art. 40 bis D.L. 41/95. For such sales Meeting Art will not apply either VAT on the services rendered to the buyer or VAT on the adjudication price. This VAT regime does not apply to sales of goods from VAT subjects who have already deducted the tax at the time of purchase and to sales of temporarily imported goods, cases governed by the general regulations in force. V.A.T. on the adjudication price is refundable only against proven Extra-EU exportation that occurred within three months of the date of the sale whose proof documentation was received in Meeting Art within four months of the said date. V.A.T. on the commission and the adjudication price is not applicable to non-Italian V.A.T. persons residing in EU countries.
PRE-AUCTION EXPOSURE
Pre-sale displays are open to the public and will be held from the Saturday before the start of the auction and during the auction. For valuables and watches, the exhibition will be held on the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday prior to and during the start of the auction.
BID INCREASES
For all lots in the catalog, the Base Bid is given, which corresponds to the starting figure for the sale. For lots "WITHOUT RESERVE" the minimum bid is € 50.00 and is increased by € 50.00, from € 1,000 upwards € 100.

The above increments are always at the discretion of the auctioneer.
Bids above the minimums in increases must be mandatory multiples of the same; bids with figures not corresponding to this rule will not be accepted.
AWARDS AND PAYMENTS
The hammer blow indicates the adjudication of the lot, at which time the buyer assumes full responsibility for the lot.
Buyers must pay the auction price plus auction fees within 7 days of the end of the auction,
Any statement by Meeting Art corresponds only to a subjective qualified opinion. Prospective purchasers are therefore urged to refer to the Conditions of Sale pertaining to this sale in the Catalog.

WITHDRAWAL OF AWARDED LOTS
Objects will be collected by the buyer at his or her own care and risk upon payment to be made in accordance with the above procedures. Meeting Art is not responsible for damage as a result of modifications, repairs or restorations requested by the successful bidder.
WITHDRAWAL OF LOTS BY PROXY
In case the buyer delegates a third person to pick up, a written proxy with a photocopy of the delegator's ID attached, as well as the receipt receipted by the Meeting Art Administration, is required.
EXPORT
For all lots dated before 70 years old, export is subject to the regulations of the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, Export Office.
Meeting Art cannot provide any guarantee on the issuance of the certificate of Free Circulation nor on the time required for the same. Meeting Art can provide assistance with export-related paperwork at an additional charge, borne by the buyer, of € 300.00 + VAT.
Purchasers are required to comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding notified objects, with particular reference to Law No. 1089 of June 1, 1939. The export of objects is governed by the aforementioned regulations and applicable customs and tax laws.
Meeting Art disclaims all liability to the purchasers with regard to any restrictions on the export of the lots awarded. The successful bidder shall not, in the event of exercise of the right of first refusal by the State, claim from Meeting Art or the Seller any refund or compensation.
The Legislative Decree of January 22, 2004 No. 42 regulates the export of cultiral goods outside the territory of the Italian Republic, while export outside the European Community is also subject to the discipline provided by EEC Regulation No. 3911/92 of December 9, 1992, as amended by EEC Regulation No. 974/01 of May 14, 2001.
Meeting Art is not responsible for the issuance of the relevant permits provided nor can it guarantee their issuance. Failure to grant the aforementioned permits cannot justify cancellation of the purchase nor non-payment, which must be made within seven days after the close of the auction.
For export of materials derived from protected species such as: coral, ivory, turtle, crocodile, whalebone, rhino horn, etc., a CITES export license issued by the Ministry of Environment and Land Protection is required.
Purchasers who intend to export these items must arrange at their own expense for the issuance of said certificate and inquire at the country of destination about the Laws governing such imports.
NO VAT TAXATION FOR NON-EU CUSTOMERS
In order to benefit from VAT non-taxability on purchases, it is INDISPENSABLE that the purchased goods are exported to countries OUTSIDE the EU, in addition, it is INDISPENSABLE to adhere to one of the following options: (N.B. In both cases, VAT non-taxation is immediate on the invoice).
Option 1. Outsource the shipment to Meeting Art - via accredited couriers - the costs of which are to be arranged in advance with the Shipping Office and to be settled before shipment.
Option 2. Entrust the shipment to your trusted courier company THAT IS RECOGNIZED INTERNATIONAL. Certification of shipment (customs bill or invoice copy bearing the export notification - MRN Movement Reference Number) must be returned to Meeting Art STRICTLY no later than 90 days from the date of delivery of the goods to the shipper. If such documentation is not received by the deadline Meeting Art will charge the amount of VAT to the customer.
FRAGILE LOTS.
Note in tab "FRAGILE LOT": means that the lot cannot be shipped from Meeting Art.
