Description: The plate delicately potted in shape of a shallow vessel, gently curving sides rising from a short slightly tapering foot, central interior hand painted with two magpie within sway of flowering magnolia, enclosed within double fine rings conforming the cavetto, further with floral sprays radiating around the rim before the scrolling motif ribbon. The conforming exterior decorated with stylized seasonal floral sprays. The plate elegantly displayed upon a wooden stand.
Mark on base; a seal mark, of six blue script -KaiShu- characters enclosed within double fine rings, YongZheng Reign Period of Great Qing.

Provenance: PROVENANCE: From the heirs of Sir john Dorrington and the Vosper estates from Stroud Gloucestershire these items were purchased by a prominent antiques collector in 2008. Seeking historical and collectible items he attended numerous auctions and estate sales in the area as well as from nearby countries. Sometimes finding a rarity sometimes just the camaraderie of fellow collectors.
