Signed, dated, and inscribed 'gemalt 1886 Slevogt' in black verso on relined canvas.Accompanied by a certificate from Sigrun Paas, Mainz, dated October 2015We would like to thank Bernhard Geil, Slevogthof Neukastel, for confirmatory information.Compositionally, Slevogt's pencil drawing "Loreley. Entwurf für ein Gemälde", created in 1886, is directly related (Imiela op. cit. 110).
