A Lady, seated in a crimson upholstered chair, wearing white dress with lace collar, pendent pearls at her shoulder, rose at her corsage, pearl bracelet and gauze veil in her dark hair, worn in ringlets and plaited bun, she rests her right elbow on a musical manuscript, green curtain and open window background.
Signed on the reverse and dated Painted by Miss Biffin/ Miniature Painter,/ Born without hands/ Liverpool 1848, black wood frame with gilded borders.
