Description: 27 March 1900 Cert. Prov., 25 Shares of £1. orange. No 62029. Large format, with central fold and rather damaged bottom (outside the printed part of the share). Text in Portuguese, English and French. Coat of arms of Portugal, which ruled Mozambique from 1498 to 1975. This company had been given large concessions of land, corresponding to the present provinces of Manica and Sofala in the center of the country. The company, est. 1891, was even given the right to collect taxes. This provisional certificate had not been seen by us before.
