NEIL DALLAS BROWN (1938 - 2003) Bather and Black Dog pencil, signed, 1973 21cm x 21cm Note : Neil Dallas Brown was a disturbing and disquieting artist whose atmospheric drawings and paintings, particularly those of the Seventies, were inspired by the brutal conflict in Northern Ireland. In a memorable series of works known as the Shroud Series" he created a uniquely sinister and enigmatic world of taut violence inhabited by threatening lean dogs. Long term lecturer at the GSA his work is held in numerous private and public collections."
