Description: Near East, North Syria, ca. 3rd to 2nd millennium BCE. Standing on all fours, an abstract rendering of a horse-like quadruped with a single eye, well delineated muzzle, short mane, and tail. Horses were depicted in various forms of visual culture from this part of the world. This example was most likely a votive offering. Size: 3.625" L x 2.5" H (9.2 cm x 6.4 cm)
