An iconic portrait of Muhammad Ali by Andy Warhol from his 'Athletes' series commissioned by the art collector Richard Weisman. Though not sharing Weisman's fascination for sports, Warhol succeeded in creating remarkable portraits of contemporary sports celebrities. Transforming the initial Polaroid shot of the boxer in this screen print, the artist dissected Ali's supernatural strength and firmness with line and colour.
