Description: PITTSBURGH BUTTON TUFTED / SUNKEN HOLLYHOCK KEROSENE PARLOR LAMP, marigold iridescent carnival, with matching pattern ball-form shade, original cast-iron base with later finish and original decorative font crown with later finish, lacking base collar, appropriate brass drop-in font with complete working mechanics including an appropriate flame spreader embossed "Success/P.L.B. & G. Co.", non-period slip chimney. Pittsburgh Lamp, Glass & Brass Co.
Dimensions: 24" H top of shade, 11 1/8" H base collar, 8" SQ foot, 10" H shade, 4" D fitter.
Medium: Circa 1900.
Condition Report: Shade with four short, slightly refracting annealing lines/checks, none of which break the exterior surface, likely as made, two shallow flakes to the shade fitter, possibly as made and not affecting the profile, two repairs to the font tank, moderate loss to the cast-iron base.
