Item Overview

Description

Archival colour photograph printed directly on aluminium dibond with hanging rails on back. Signed and editioned. Joey worked as the cleaner for Dublin City Councils Wholesale Fruit & Vegetable Market which is now closed. While it was open he was always with his trolly cleaning up the rubbish with his brush and shovel and wheeling it away. I would stop and chat on my way to work. This day it was unusual to see his trolly standing here alone without him but I could still sense his presence. Now the market is closed it is alone again, abandoned and dirt gatherers around it. I have seen it through a crack in the door.
