Payment: Hampton House accepts Cash, Personal & Business Check, Cashier's Checks, Money Orders, Master Card, Visa and Wire Transfers. We will also accept gold bullion equivalents, but will not take small children. Should the total invoice of a bidder exceed $2000.00, either in a single object or total account, we require check, personal, business, or cashier's - cash - or wire transfer for payment, credit cards will not be accepted. No item(s) will be released for pick up or shipment until full payment is made and cleared.
All taxes are applied in accordance with federal and Commonwealth of Virginia law. Currently within the state the tax rate is 6% on the total purchase - High bid plus buyer's premium - on purchases made within the state of Virginia - Current law does not require the collection of sales tax on items shipped out of state. The rate and collection status are subject to change.
Shipping Terms: SHIPPING INFORMATION: Shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer. Our staff my assist but is not responsible for packing, handling, or shipping your purchases. Invoice must be paid in full before orders will be shipped. Actual Shipping costs will be charged to credit card separately and are non-refundable. Funds for payments made by check must clear before order can be shipped. Items are shipped in the order that full payment is received. Your shipper will be required to produce identification and authorization from you to have your property released to them as your agent.

All items Shipped Outside The U.S. Will Be Declared At Full Value For Customs. Hampton House Auctions Is Not Responsible For Any Additional Customs/Duty Taxes That May Incur. Local Buyers May Also Pick-Up Items Directly. Buyers Of Larger Items, ie: Furniture, should contact us prior To Bidding And Arrange Carrier Service / Pickup.
Shipping is the responsibility of the successful bidder to arrange. Hampton House is not the shipper. We do recommend a number of areas shippers who will pick up directly from the auction house. IN THE CASE where a purchased item(s) can be packed safely in a U.S.P.S Priority Mail Box the auction house will consider working with the bidder to ship their purchase. This is at the auction house's option. The cost is the USPS rate for Priority Mail, a reasonable handling charge, and insurance on the parcel. Insurance is not an option. Contact the auction house for the names of shippers.
