Rare Historical Winchester – Mod. 21 2-Barrel Trap – 12ga. Double Barrel Shotgun – What Makes This Gun Historical is it Was Ordered by Capt. J.B. Grier Who Eventually Advanced to “Brig. General John B. Grier”. Capt. Grier in 1924 Helped the United States Win Olympic Gold in Paris & Over the Years Became a Distinguished Trap Shooter. He Won Multiple Titles in Delaware & in 1936 Won the National Pro Title. He Also Won Pro Singles, National Doubles & the Grand American Handi-Cap, All-American Trap Shooter 1936, 1937-38. Capt. Grier Also Made Numerous Appearances in Winchester Arms Adv. Catalogs & Other Publications. In a 1939 Winchester Adv. Poster, Grier is Shooting a Winchester Mod. 24 in a Hunting Scene (“What a Gun” Says Capt. J.B. Grier Famous Trap & Field Shot) He Also Made an Appearance in Winchester Shooting Holiday Magazine. Grier Did Not Work for Winchester but Represented Them by Shooting Their Winchester Mod. 21s as a Professional – This Gun Was Ordered in 1938 as a Trap Grade, 12ga., 30” Vent-Rib, Comb Width Trap, Trap Finish, Trap Grade Wood & Was Received in 1949 for Repair. Letter Also States “Back of Record” Right Choke Win. Skeet 1, Left Choke Win. 1. The items descriptions for this specialty auction were described and catalogued to the best of our ability. We take a lot of pride in taking as many photographs as possible of the individual lots. Hence, we let our pictures "do the talking". So, take your time looking over the pictures of the lots you are interested in. We highly advise that you inspect the items personally for accuracy, originality, and condition. If you cannot inspect the items personally, we recommend that you look at our digital catalog found on our website so you can see the detailed photos of the specific lots you are interested in. You can also call our office at 717-334-6941 and speak to one of our staff so that they can look over the items that you are interested in and discuss any questions or concerns that you may have so that you feel confident in bidding on your chosen item(s). Note: We recommend you call the week of the auction, August 1st-5th for condition reports.
2. It is the sole responsibility of you as the bidder to satisfy yourself on the age, originality, authenticity, and condition of the lot before bidding by either live-in person, absentee, phone or internet bidding. Absolutely No Refunds!

3. We are not responsible for any typographical errors.

4. No Reserves. All Items will have new owners.

5. The Auctioneer is the sole determinant of who is the successful bidder.

Payment

For this auction, Online Payment may not be an option due to Invaluable/AuctionZip payment processors terms of service. PAYMENT is due at the end of the auction and becomes overdue 4 business days after you receive your invoice. If you are a winner you will be notified by our staff after the auction. You will receive an invoice from us within 1-3 business days. It will arrive in your regular email. Be sure to check your email SPAM folder if your invoice has not arrived. Bidder's Credit Card's will be charged 4 days after an invoice has been sent if other arrangements have not been made. All credit card payments will have a 4% surcharge added to them on the invoice.

Taxes

TAXES: 6% Pennsylvania Sales Tax will be charged for items shipped to Pennsylvania addresses. If buyer provides a copy of a valid Pennsylvania resale license, state taxes will not be charged. Buyers from outside of the U.S. may be subject to customs and importation fees levied by their country. Payment of such fees is the responsibility of the buyer and is not a basis for refusing or returning a purchase for refund.
Any person picking up merchandise in person are also subject to a 6% tax
