Copy from the estate of Piet Elling who received it as a gift from the artist Ilonka Karasz, aunt of his wife. Duchamp's collaboration was of great importance for the exhibition as "his indefatigable energy in gathering the works together in Paris" (foreword). One of the best designed modernist book productions we came across. Put on the way by Marcel Duchamp's Some French Moderns Says McBride and Lissitzky's Dlia Golosa, especially by their revolutionary use of thumb indexes, but with an undeniable class of its own. Hardly ever offered.
