Notes

Published originally in 28 parts between 1819 and 1840, this is the definitive edition, containing Schinkel's (1781-1841) designs for palaces, houses, churches, museums, government buildings and memorials. This edition contains the entire complement of 174 plates, which are all described in the text section dated 1841-1845 ("supplement-blätter"); complete sets of the plates rarely appear on the market. Schinkel was professor in the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin, and his principal buildings are (or were) in that city and its environs.
