Signed wakizashi by Sekishu Sadasue 石州貞末, Muromachi period (1429-1455 AD) Japanese antique Samurai sword; Sword-smith: Sekishu Sadasue, his father - Sadayuki 貞行, Iwami province, Eikyo era (1429-1441), Kyotoku Era (1452-1455), Hawley rating 90, Toko Taikan: ¥3M = $22,226 US, Fujishiro: Jo saku Blade length: 433 mm (17.05 inch) Curvature: 15 mm (0.59 inch) Total length: 680 mm (26.77 inch) Blade Weight: 400 g; Total Weight: 698 g; Sword-smith: Sekisyu Sadasue (石州貞末) - was a great swordsmith in Iwamino-Kuni (now Shimane Prefecture) in Muromachi period, making good blades. The characteristic feature of this blade is that it is greatly warped for its size. The history of Shimane starts with Japanese mythology. The Shinto god Ōkuninushi was believed to live in Izumo, an old province in Shimane. Izumo Shrine, which is in the city of Izumo, honors the god.[3] At that time, the current Shimane prefecture was divided into three parts: Iwami, Izumo, and Oki.[
