The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire ( M.B.E.), Military Division, Officers breast badge, 2nd type, in case of issue. Generally very fine or better. E250-350 Lot The O.B.E' and Order of the League of Mercy were awarded to the Reverend Dr. Edmund Dale formerly Head master of Latymer Upper School from 1921-1937 This lot comes with extensive documentation including the Bestowal documents for the two medals, Declaration of Assent, Doctorate certificate and numerous other documents and journals covering his life. The M.B.E. was awarded to Lt. Col. E. F. Dale son of Dr. Edmund Dale. he served with the Indian Army and the lot comes with the Officer's Record of Service together with the M.B.E. Bestowal Warrant and various congratulatory telegrams etc. and his Commission Warrant dated 15th November 1940 stamped 'EMERGENCY'. There is also a cased Papal Medal engraved on rim and other badges and related items. An interesting Lot.
