signed and dated. Wisconsin painter. He studied at the University of Wisconsin and the Cincinnati Art Academy. He exhibited throughout the 1930s-40s, at the Art Institute of Chicago (1938-46); Madison Art Association (1940); Kansas City Art Institute (1940); and the University of Wisconsin (1937-45). His work is included in the collections of the Art Institute of Chicago, University of Wisconsin, and the Milwaukee Art Institute, and he taught at Lawrence College in the 1940s.
